Meet Our Newest Board Members
Meet Michael Butler
A Project Manager at J.E. Charlotte Construction Corporation, Michael joined the board in October 2022. Michael is married to Olivia Butler and his hometown is Clearwater, Florida. After learning about Loveland’s mission and touring its Venice location, it was clear that every staff member and volunteer at Loveland deeply cares about every individual who walks through the doors. The thing he is looking forward to the most is seeing the theatre program grow and the benefits it will provide to all of the individuals involved.

Meet Toby MacDonald
Toby MacDonald grew up in Venice and attended Garden Elementary all the way through Venice High School. After attending UVA, he returned to Venice and taught at Venice High School for a couple years before moving to San Diego, CA, and beginning his career at Acushnet Company (the parent company to Titleist). He met his wife, Lissa MacDonald, while she was the Deputy District Attorney for San Diego County. They moved back to Venice in 2016 to take over the family business, Horse and Chaise Rentals and Property Management, and raise their newborn, Harper MacDonald. Between Lissa’s trial schedule and his frequent travel to Asia for work, they decided it was in the best interest of our family to make this change.
The Loveland Center has been a staple of Venice since he was a child. Lissa and he were looking for ways to serve the community when the opportunity presented itself to join the board at the Loveland Center. He hopes that they can support the Loveland Center in both their ambassadorship within the community and lending his strategic operations background. Lissa also serves on the board for Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
