What is Loveland Center?

Established in 1962, Loveland Center is a nonprofit serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We support each person to have as independent of a life as possible through a person-centered approach to life-skills developmental programs that are as unique as the individuals that we serve.

What Makes Loveland Different?

The Loveland difference is in everything we do – from our philosophy and approach with the individuals we serve, to the care and support we provide our staff.

Loveland encourages all of the participants we support to dream big! Our “Dare to Dream” philosophy means we start by working with each participant to determine their own dreams and goals for their lives and build a comprehensive plan to help them achieve those goals. Loveland staff use the individualized plans and goals to meet each individual where they are, helping them achieve that next level of independence, whether that means holding their own spoon or finding the career of their dreams.

Loveland direct support staff receive a minimum of 96 hours of on the job training before they start working independently with the participants we serve.  In 2023, Loveland became the first organization in Florida to offer certification classes through the National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals, helping our staff gain even more training and have the opportunity to earn higher wages.

How Can I Help?

Loveland is grateful for the support of its community both near and far that allows us to realize our mission day after day. Please visit the support us tab to learn how you can volunteer, donate, host a fundraiser, and so much more.
