Disco, Bingo, and a Great Cause: Alexandra Troisi Shares the Story Behind the Event

Disco Bingo is Coming to Bradenton!
We recently had the chance to sit down with Alexandra Troisi, Regional Philanthropy Associate for the Manatee area, to talk about her experience with Loveland and the exciting Disco Bingo event happening this March, benefiting the Bradenton program. Here’s a peek behind the scenes of this fun, community-focused night!

Connecting the Community
As the regional philanthropy associate, Alexandra’s role is all about engaging the local community to connect them with the people we support at Bradenton ADT. “I am a part of Manatee county,” Alexandra says, “and it’s important to me to be a part of spaces like the one we are creating with this fundraiser. The support I’ve received from this community so far has been really moving.” With a strong foundation in the creative arts, having experience working in ADT programs Alexandra brings her passion for creativity to every event she plans. The Bradenton location opened in 2020, at the start of COVID, and Alexandra is grateful for the continued support over the past few years.

Why Disco Bingo?
So why disco bingo? Alexandra explains, “A lot of our participants love to play bingo, sing, dance and shine, and I think that encapsulates the vibe of disco and retro club fun.” Beyond the fun factor, the event is designed to achieve meaningful goals: connecting the community with the people we support, showcasing the mission of Loveland, and demonstrating to participants that the community truly supports their goals.

Planning the Perfect Night
What sets Disco Bingo apart from other fundraisers? It’s all about creating something new that aligns with what participants love most. “We leaned into what they enjoy: bingo, singing, dancing, then built the event around that,” she shares. The event is generously hosted by Gold Coast Eagle Distributing, a local alcohol distributor that provides nonprofits with access to its community event space. They will be supplying seltzers and beer for the night, and Alexandra sends a huge thank-you to them for their ongoing support.

Making a Difference
All proceeds from Disco Bingo will go directly to the Bradenton ADT, reinvesting in the goals and lives of 40 incredible participants. Alexandra emphasizes the impact this support has: “Community and individual support is so important to this population and is what keeps these programs running.”

Community Excitement and Surprises
The response from the community so far has been overwhelmingly positive. “I think it’s going to be a lot of fun,” Alexandra says. It’s shaping up to be a night full of laughter and music, bringing people together for a great cause.
