Ever wonder what it takes to be part of a team that delivers smiles and support every day to Loveland Center participants? Ever want to parade, dance, sing, decorate, craft, lead, create, imagine, win awards, and share your gifts?

And want to do all these with friends whose friendship will last a lifetime?

There is a place for you. At Loveland Centers across Sarasota, Charlotte, and Manatee Counties, our Team Leaders and Community Engagement Managers offer easy on-ramps to engage with our participants, from day-of events to routine weekly visits, and from a few hours to full days.

Opportunities range from event planning to choreography and from reading support to culinary arts. For a list of ever-changing opportunities and to learn more, contact me at beldredge@lovelandcenter.org.

Current engagement opportunities, Spring 2023:

Theater Program:

Set, lighting, sound volunteer (1x per week)
Costume and makeup volunteer (1x per week)
Dance, choreography, and music volunteer (2x per week)
Line coaches (daily volunteers to help with learning lines)

Adult Day Training:

Community integration volunteer (daily)
Art program volunteer (1-2x per week)
Reading support volunteer (1x per week)
Culinary/kitchen volunteer (1x per week)
General volunteer support (daily)

Volunteers for North Port:

Tuesday mornings to help at Fandango Animal Sanctuary
Help prep activities or run activities so staff can have time to prep activities
Money/ math volunteers
Reading/ writing

Volunteers for Port Charlotte:

Help prep activities or run activities so staff can have time to prep activities
Money/ math volunteers
Reading/ writing
Community integration 2-3 times a week
