Staff Speech – Language Pathologist

 

I help participants with a variety of speech, language, and swallowing disorders increase their communication and independence.

I love the nonprofit nature of Loveland, providing services to individuals who truly need them. Loveland provides a much-needed service to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are often not served in other settings.

Our participants at Loveland love working with us in therapy. They are motivated and work hard to improve their communication and other skills needed to be successful in the community.

In 2023, we will be servicing all four Loveland centers (Venice, North Port, Port Charlotte, and Bradenton), providing therapy services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in three counties. I look forward to meeting new faces and helping our participants improve and meet their communication and swallowing goals.

My advice for 2023? Never underestimate the ability of our participants to improve in all areas of their lives.
