Transforming Lives Through Access: Loveland Center Receives $15,000 Grant for Ability First Clinic
Loveland Center is proud to announce it has received a $15,000 Community Impact Grant from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, made possible through the James Franklin Warnell & Dorothy J. Warnell Fund. This funding will expand access to essential therapeutic services for adults with disabilities who face financial barriers to care.
The grant will support Loveland Center’s Ability First Clinic, which provides speech, occupational and physical therapy to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Through this funding, participants will receive services at no cost, with full treatment plans covered for at least ten individuals.

“The funding we received from this grant award will directly address the issue of healthcare affordability and change lives,” said Mark Iannotti, Chief Clinical Officer at Loveland Center.
Since launching in 2022, Ability First has helped individuals overcome barriers to care by offering therapy on-site within Loveland Center’s Adult Day Training programs. This model removes transportation challenges and ensures consistent, personalized support in a familiar environment.
By increasing access to these services, the program helps participants build independence, improve daily functioning, and gain confidence in communication and movement. Loveland Center remains grateful for the Community Foundation of Sarasota County’s commitment to creating greater opportunity and quality of life for individuals with disabilities.
