Loveland Center and God’s Protected Harbor Announce Strategic Partnership to Enhance Services for Individuals with Disabilities
Fort Myers, FL
Loveland Center, a nonprofit organization serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) across Southwest Florida, is proud to announce a new partnership with God’s Protected Harbor, an organization based in Lee and Collier Counties that provides faith-based residential services. As of October 24, 2025, Loveland Center has become the Management Company for God’s Protected Harbor, marking a significant step forward in expanding collaborative, person-centered services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
This partnership combines the strengths of both organizations: Loveland’s expertise in day training, employment, and community based supports, and God’s Protected Harbor’s deep experience in residential care—to create a more comprehensive continuum of support for individuals with I/DD throughout the region.
“The vision God has given us remains clear: to provide a safe, faith-filled home where adults with disabilities are cared for, respected, and empowered to live lives of joy, dignity, and purpose,” said Alyssa Hayes, Interim Board Chairman of God’s Protected Harbor. “Loveland strives for the same vision that Protected Harbor has, which is to serve adults with disabilities so that everyone can live their lives to their best potential in a home and in their community.”
Through this partnership, both organizations aim to exchange knowledge, enhance service quality, and expand opportunities for individuals with disabilities to live fulfilling, self-determined lives.
“Loveland is honored to join forces with God’s Protected Harbor in a partnership that strengthens both organizations,” Said Patrick Guerin III, President and CEO of Loveland Center. “Together, we can ensure individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities receive the highest quality of services—at home, in their communities, and in every aspect of life. This collaboration allows both teams to learn from one another and grow toward a shared future of inclusion and excellence.”
